Perge is the largest ancient settling of both Hellenistic and Roman Age, which possesses a Roman Bath, Colonnaded Street, Agora, Stadium, and Water Aqueduct. These structures are in good order and well protected after the excavation.

Aspendos, the best preserved Roman Theatre in the World which is still in use. This 15.000 seated theatre hosts many concerts and competitions10:30, during the Song Festival. 

The third impressive site is Side whose name meant "Pomegranate" in antiquity. Today, it is a pretty Resort Town with two sandy beaches, many shops along the Ancient Street as well as Theatre, Agora, ancient harbor, archeological museum. 

 



Termessos is perhaps the most interesting ancient city in Antalya region. It is a Psidian city built at an atitutude of 1050 meters in the Taurus Mountains. Termessos constitutes an unusual synthesis of a large number of rare plants and animal species, which are under protection in the Termessos National Park..  Some of the remains found in Termessos are the walls, the Hadrian's triumphal arch, the cisterns, the theater, the gymnasium, the agora, the odeon and the heroon. Among the tombs which are scattered far and wide can be seen those of Alcates, Agatemeros and the Lion decorated sarcophagi, which are extraordinary.

Next stop is the Karain Cave located in the foothills of the Katran Mountains in the Village Yagca. The large cave site contains several interconnected chambers (A-G), including the well-known Karain E chamber which contains a long sequence from Lower to Upper Paleolithic as well as yielding human remains dating to 100-130.000 and 200-300.000 years BC. Karain E chamber is one of the biggest and richest paleolithic sites in the world which gives information about all the prehistoric chronology and Anatolia.

 

You will then visit the Antalya Archaeological Museum which is one of the most important museums for Anatolian Civilizations. The museum has 13 exhibition halls and an open air gallery covering an area of 7,000 m2 (75,000 sq ft). As a museum exhibiting examples of works, which illuminate the history of the Mediterranean and Pamphylia regions in Anatolia, Antalya Museum is one of the most important of Turkey's museums. The Museum won the “European Council Special Prize” in 1988.
